Kashish Das Shrestha

Kashish Das Shrestha is a 4th generation photographer whose family's photo heritage dates back to 1927 when the first Das Studio was first established in Darjeeling by his great grandfather. 

He also a 2019 National Geographic Explorer.

Kashish's works have appeared on Condé Nast Traveler (USA, Spain, Turkey), The New York Times, Vogue (USA, online), Travel + Leisure (USA), TIME (USA), Metro Daily (international), MixMag (London), to name a few. 

His photos have been exhibited at the David Brower Entrance Gallery (UC - Berkeley, 2015), Katonah Public Library (New York, 2016), UN Refugee Agency's HQ in Geneva (2009), Nepal Art Council (2010), amongst others.  

Since 2005, Kashish has used his work as a writer and photographer to fund his research in Nepal and work pro-bono on sustainable development policies related to renewable energy, urban planning, environment, and agriculture.
